Over 40 students who have entered the 2017 Sir Paul Callaghan Eureka! Awards are full of anticipation as they prepare for preliminary regional competitions being held on 22 and 23 July.
There's a great range of really exciting topics up for the judges to consider and then award marks to under the new Assessment and Scoring system adopted by Eureka in 2017. The new system is based on the NCEA Achievement Standards templates developed by educators for the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.
This year students can submit the videos of their regional presentations to their teachers so they can be marked for a range of NCEA Achievement Standards for NCEA Credits.
