Just 10 days to go for Eureka! Video competition entries

Students have just 10 days to submit their short science and tech videos for the inaugural Eureka! Video Awards Competition.

"We already have four entries registered," says National Convenor, Francis Wevers.

"There's still time for students to get in the mix and vie for the prizes waiting at the end of the competition.

"Our on-line workshop provides a solid base of instruction from our video experts at Execam to help students deliver a quality result.

"Video is by far the most popular medium of communication as a result of the access students have to mobile phones with video functionality and the availability of free or very affordable video editing software on the internet.

"Video allows students to tell stories in a way which is impossible using other media.  We hope this is going to become a strong category in the stable of activities we run  in pursuit of our goals of broadening science and technology literacy and communication.

"There are great stories to be told out there."
